The Evolution of Canon Solutions America
November 16, 2009: Canon announced its intention to buy Dutch copier and printer maker Océ, in order to join forces to create a global leader in the printing industry and offer a broader range of technology, services, and solutions to customers.1

May 19, 2010: Canon and Océ announced initial integration steps, creating a global leader in the printing industry. The combination capitalizes on an excellent complementary fit in product mix, channel mix, R&D and business lines.2

November 8, 2010: The first Canon and Océ joint transaction, the Canon imagePRESS® C6000 printing system connected to Océ PRISMA® software, sold through the Océ distribution channel.3

June 10, 2011: Canon and Océ combined their printing operations in Switzerland, following the completion on March 9, 2010, of the public offer of Canon Inc. for Océ outstanding common shares, in an effort to create the overall No. 1 presence in the printing industry.4

September 9, 2011: Canon Europe and Océ announced the launch of two co-developed production printing systems: The Océ VarioPrint DP Line, a series of compelling black and white systems, and the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000S PRO, a next-generation, light production color printer.5
