The Eco Start Program was created to help our production print customers build their sustainability portfolios and have a positive impact on developing communities and the environment. When a new production system is purchased, we engage the Trees for the Future organization to plant trees to help counterbalance that machine’s average expected CO2 emissions during its first year in operation.

Canon employees, along with their family members and friends, volunteer their time in communities nationwide for conservation activities involving parks, beaches, and nature preserves. Since 1996, Canon employees have volunteered thousands of hours to clean up and beautify these public areas.
The UV curable inks for the Arizona family of flatbed printers, and the game-changing UVgel ink for the recently launched Colorado 1640 printer, have achieved UL GREENGUARD GOLD certification. GREENGUARD Certification has established performance-based standards to define products and processes with low chemical emissions for use indoors.
