Océ ColorWave® 700 printing system

Overview

Having set the benchmarks in quality and productivity in monochrome, the Océ ColorWave line-up of large format color inkjet printers, plotters, copiers, scanners and multifunction systems sets a new standard for what users require to communicate in a variety of color printing applications, or productive black and white, often in the same unit.

Océ ColorWave 650 CrystalPoint Technology

Image processing technology for high quality color and black and white printing on plain and recycled paper

Océ CrystalPoint technology has been developed entirely by Océ to deliver high quality color and black-and-white prints on plain and recycled paper. Using patented Océ TonerPearls™ toner it is ideal for a wide range of printing, scanning, plotting and copying applications including CAD plots, GIS documents and business graphics.

How Océ CrystalPoint technology works

Océ CrystalPoint technology

  • Océ TonerPearls toner is solid with no risk of system or air pollution
  • Simple laws of gravity ensure fail-proof transportation of Océ TonerPearls toner inside a system
  • Transparent cartridges allow you to see when replacement is required

Tonergel Jetting

  • Once inside the system, Océ TonerParts toner is converted into a gel
  • Imaging devices move across the media in swaths at high speeds jetting the tonergel onto the media
  • Due to the toner's gel state, droplets stay compact even when jetted onto highly absorbent media, the result is crisp print quality without feathering

Solid Out → Toner Crystalization

  • A unique crystallization agent controls the time that the toner remains in gel form after jetting onto the media
  • Once it bonds to the media, the toner crystallizes resulting in strong adhesion with an even semi-gloss finish. This creates robust, waterfast prints suitable for outdoor or heavy-duty use

Océ ColorWave 900 Large Format Inkjet Printing Technology

Beginning life as the concept Project Velocity presented for the first time at DRUPA® 2012, the Océ ColorWave 900 high-speed wide format poster printer closes the gap between digital inkjet printing and traditional offset printing technology. Designed for the GA (Graphic Arts), AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction), and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) markets, this wide format poster printer offers a digital workflow that can help increase productivity, lower running costs and increase flexibility for variable data and short- to medium-run length print jobs.

The Océ ColorWave 900 large format poster printer has a raw print speed of more than 12,000 square feet per hour and is able to print a run length equivalent to the height of New York City's One World Trade Center in just 30 minutes. Delivering 3.4 billion, 1.2 picoliter drops of aqueous ink per second, the large format printing machine is able to produce resolutions of 1,600 x 1,600 dpi.
