Our Partnership
To help you save energy and money, while making a difference for the environment, Canon has partnered voluntarily with the EPA for more than 20 years to design products that meet the high standards of its ENERGY STAR Program. This program promotes the development and introduction of energy efficient products to combat climate change and other environmental issues.
As an ENERGY STAR partner, Canon has over 200 certified products that incorporate advanced energy efficient technologies, without compromising features or performance, such as energy saver mode, automatic duplex settings, and low sleep mode power consumption.
ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award 2024
Canon U.S.A. has received the 2024 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award for continued leadership and significant partnerships with ENERGY STAR.
The ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year-Sustained Excellence Award is the highest honor among ENERGY STAR Awards. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) presents the Sustained Excellence Award to partners that have already received ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year recognition for a minimum of two consecutive years and have exceeded the criteria needed to qualify for recognition. This marks the seventh consecutive year Canon has received the Sustained Excellence Award (2018-2024). This is also the ninth consecutive year Canon has been recognized as a Partner of the Year.
Canon’s accomplishments
For over 30 years, Canon has collaborated with ENERGY STAR to save energy and money while promoting the development of energy-efficient features in our products to be eco-conscious and help combat environmental issues. As part of the partnership, Canon offers over 200 ENERGY STAR certified products, each incorporating advanced energy-efficient technologies without compromising on features or performance. Energy-efficient technologies implemented within the full range of Canon products include energy-saver mode, automatic duplex settings and low-sleep power consumption.

Why buy ENERGY STAR?
ENERGY STAR certified imaging equipment, printers, scanners, and all-in-one devices cost about the same as standard imaging equipment, but use less energy. This reduces the amount of fossil fuels burned to produce electricity, and causes fewer greenhouse gas emissions that harm the environment and contribute to global climate change.
How do I know if a product is certified?
When shopping for imaging equipment, look for the ENERGY STAR label. It should be clearly marked on the product itself, on the packaging, and mentioned in the product features.
